Pond's frog.

 

There was a frog, who lived with his family in a small pond. That pond was out in the suburbs of the city. Hence less number of people were seen around. The frog lived in his own majesty as the competition at that place was fairly less. Every other frog who lived in that pond obeyed him, not due to respect, but out of fear. Fear of his rude behavior, fear of his large family, fear of his bullying behavior, but none uttered a single word. He lived like a king, the king of his small kingdom. 

      He trotted in the morning and during the day time, and during evening ate tasty food. He was very keen on hunting, hunting on insects and ants. He excelled in his art of catching a prey easily, which no one else had. That was also another reason, other's obeyed him. Moreover he was fond of eating, hence it showed on his body. Frogs called him Monty and he appeared like Humpty Dumpty. Well, he had wife and child- to take care of which he never did. His family was also hurt by his apathetic behaviour.

Days passed by and now it was about 2-3 decades since he stayed at the pond. One day he saw a very masculine frog who was well built came along to meet one of his relatives at the pond. The frogs around were praising him a lot, which Monty didn't like at all. He went closer and inquired about his wellbeing as a formal gesture and thought to malign him publicly. This intention was motivated by the reason that he (Monty), thought himself -a hero. 

    For his foul intention he thought of going on a wrestling match with that frog to let him down. He challenged him openly for the match. After much ado, the masculine frog agreed to Monty. The next morning Monty was was very hopeful for his win and rejoiced as he had won many indigenous wrestling competition around that pond.

  That morning all the frogs of the pond were out and gathered to see the match. The match started, initially Monty seem to on top, but later on he was enervated and badly defeated by the masculine frog.Monty felt very bad at this and walked straight to his home. He thought that he lost his reputation and the image was tarnished.

  After two days when he heard that the masculine frog is leaving for the town. He went to him and asked that how he defeated Monty. Then the masculine frog revealed his identity, that he was a professional, international wrestler. That he had won nearly 99% of the matches fought. 

  While leaving he threw a punchline at Monty in front of everyone. "Till a pond's frog hasn't seen the sea, he thinks that it is the largest reservoir on earth". 

       This punchline also has a great relevance for most of us.
